The procedure for canceling your adopte subscription depends on the platform you initially subscribed to. After canceling the automatic renewal of your subscription, it will remain valid until the end of the period already paid for.
From our iPhone app
If you subscribed to adopte via the App Store, follow the instructions below to cancel automatic renewal:
- Quit the adopte app and open the Settings app
- Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen (you may be asked to sign in or authenticate using Touch ID or Face ID)
- Tap "Subscriptions"
- In the list, tap on your adopte subscription
Important: If you don't see your subscription in the list, make sure you're signed in with the correct Apple account (click here) - Tap the "Cancel Subscription" button at the bottom of the screen

From our Android app
If you subscribed to adopte via Google Play, follow the instructions below to cancel automatic renewal:
- Exit the adopte app and open the Google Play app
- Tap your profile icon (or initial) in the top right corner, next to the notification bell
- Tap "Payments and subscriptions," then "Subscriptions"
- In the list, tap on your adopte subscription
Important: if you can't find your subscription in the list, make sure you're signed in with the right Google Play account (click here) - Tap the "Cancel subscription" button (at the bottom right of the "Suspend payments" button)
Please note: if you wish to cancel your subscription rather than simply suspend it, press the "No, thank you" button at the bottom left of the dialog box that appears, titled "Would you like to suspend your subscription?" - Select a reason for your cancellation from the options provided, then press the "Continue" button.
- Tap "Cancel subscription."

If you subscribed to adopte by credit card or PayPal via our website, even if you use our iPhone or Android app, you will need to follow the steps below to unsubscribe:
- Log in to your account at adopte.app
- Click on the three dots "
" at the top right of the navigation bar, from any page of the site
- Click on "account" in the menu that appears
- Then click on the "DEACTIVATION" section
- Check the box "I cancel the automatic renewal of my subscription," then click on the "YES" button
Please note: deactivating your account (by checking the box "I am deactivating my account") does not cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription. - The message "The automatic renewal of my subscription has been canceled on xx/xx/xx" will appear, and a confirmation email will be sent to your personal email address
