If your subscription was purchased through a third-party payment platform (App Store or Google Play), deleting your adopte account from our mobile app will not cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription.
If you purchased your subscription:
From our iPhone app
If you subscribed to adopte via the App Store, follow the instructions below to cancel the automatic renewal:
- Exit the adopte app and open the Settings app
- Tap your Apple ID at the top of the screen (you may be asked to sign in or authenticate using Touch ID or Face ID)
- Tap "Subscriptions"

In the list, tap your adopte subscription
Important: If you don't see your subscription in the list, make sure you're signed in with the correct Apple account (click here) - Tap the "Cancel subscription" button at the bottom of the screen

From our Android app
If you subscribed to adopte via Google Play, follow the instructions below to cancel the automatic renewal:
- Exit the adopte app and open the Google Play app
- Tap your profile icon (or initial) in the top right corner, next to the notification bell
- Tap "Payments and subscriptions," then "Subscriptions."

In the list, tap your adopte subscription
Important: If you don't see your subscription in the list, make sure you're signed in to the right Google Play account (click here) -
Tap the "Cancel subscription" button (located at the bottom right of the "Pause payments" button)
Please note: if you wish to cancel your subscription and not simply pause it, press the "No, thank you" button at the bottom left of the dialog box that appears, titled "Would you like to pause your subscription?" - Select a reason for your cancellation from the options provided, then press the "Continue" button.
- Tap "Cancel subscription."

Don't worry, if you subscribed via our adopte.app website, deleting your account will cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription.
If you notice that you are still being charged, it is likely that:
- You have deactivated your account instead of deleting it
- You had another account on adopte
