You've met someone special and want to take a break.

Deactivate your account

Deactivating your account allows you to temporarily remove your adopte profile, while still allowing you to reactivate it whenever you want and recover all your contacts.

This feature prevents you from having to register again.

If you have a subscription, please note that deactivating your account will not cancel your subscription. If you wish to cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription, please refer to this article.

From our app (accessible from your phone)

Go to the "my profile" page by tapping the button
Go to your account settings (gear icon )
Go to the "Help and Assistance" section and tap on "deactivate my account."

From our website (accessible from a computer)

Go to "account" by tapping on the three small dots "" located at the top right of the navigation bar, available from any page of the site
Then go to the "Deactivation" section and click on "I am deactivating my account."

To reactivate your account, simply enter your login details on the website or app homepage and click on the reactivation link that will be sent to you by email.

Permanently delete your account

If you have subscribed via our iPhone or Android app, please note that deleting your account will not cancel your subscription.

We recommend that you cancel your subscription before deleting your account. See this article for instructions on how to do so.

Go to the "my profile" section by tapping the button

Go to the "Help and Assistance" section and tap on "delete my account"
