How do I change or delete my main photo?

Your main photo is the one our members see first on adopte. It is currently mandatory and cannot be  deleted if it is the only photo you have. Find out how to update or delete your main photo.

Tip: Your album can contain up to 6 photos. Fill it up to maximize your chances. A recent, clear, and regularly updated main photo makes a great first impression. Vary the styles and settings to reflect your personality and make your profile more dynamic.

Edit or delete your main photo

From our iPhone app

1. ​Go to the "My Profile" page by tapping the icon at the bottom right
2. Tap the camera icon at the bottom right of your profile thumbnail
3. To set a main photo from among those already published, tap the desired photo and select "Set as cover."
4. To add a new photo, tap "Add a photo" ("" icon). You can choose a photo from your gallery or take a new one
5. Select "Set as cover" to set your new main photo
6. To delete a photo, tap it and select "Delete."

Important: if you have only added one photo to your profile, it cannot be deleted directly. Contact us via our contact form, selecting the subject "I need help with an adopte feature" then "Edit my profile."

From our Android app

1. Click on your photo in the top right corner of the navigation bar, visible from any page
2. On your profile, click on the "" button at the bottom right of your profile thumbnail
3. To set a main photo from among those already published, place your cursor on the 

desired photo, then click on the icon 

4. To delete a photo, place your cursor over the photo you want to delete, then click on the trash can icon
